About

Dr. Robert Meaux has 30 years experience as a part-time genealogists and historical researcher.  He specializes in genealogy work in Texas, and also in historical research in Harris County.  He, along with the Humble Museum staff, have authored "Images of America: Humble", publshed by Arcadia Publishig in December, 2013.

His primary vocation is education, having taught at every level  of education in Texas (elementary, junior high, high school, community college, 4-year university).  He works for the Humble independent School District as the Coordinator of Title Programs, and programmed their campus planning software.  He also works as an adjunct instructor for Lonestar College - Tomball.  

He holds six college degrees:  
- History (Lone Star College),
- Educational Leadership (University of Houston Clear Lake),
- Computer Programming (Lone Star College) and
- Music Education (University of Houston).

In his spare times he enjoys collecting and repairing viceo arcade games (www.AtariFootball.com), archery, and rock climbing.  Dr. Meaux is also on the Board of Directors for the Humble Museum in Humble, Texas.  He has also served as the President of the Lone Star Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
